			<description><![CDATA[In 1988 I began employment at Muskogee county Health Dept. Naomi Vanzant, a very beautiful, confident, striking, beautiful smile light up a room, meek but strong woman was my first supervisor. Naomi and I sat right next to each other in one room that held 6 nurses divided by petitions. Naomi told me she saw something in me and that one day I would do what she did at that time and more. That she was going to teach me everything she knew. I was not sure about all her plans because I was new to public health and I wasn't sure I wanted to stay. Because of Naomi stay I did and I soaked up everything she gave me. Equipped me she did for first she made me a "Tru Public Health Nurse" taught me how to a multitude of things. She became my friend and kept in touch with me always and my family... she called me with each promotion letting me know how proud she was of me and keep going higher that I could do it. That I am proud to say I did as she saw in me I became a Coordinating Nurse the longet standing so far, and now I am 2 a District Nurse Manager as she was when she retired. I have been in public health 27 years. I will miss my friend I will never forget her... Love u Naomi I hope I will continue to make u proud!!!
