Obituary for Dale Eldon Weathers

Dale Eldon Weathers, 87, died on November 25, 2019. His funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2019 at First Christian Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born October 10, 1932 to Cecil and Winifred Weathers in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He married Vena S. Weathers on September 6, 1953 and they were married 66 years.
He attended Cottonwood, Stillwater High School, and graduated from Oklahoma A&M. He was awarded a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts, and completed some post graduate work. Dale spent his time teaching young minds but he was also a farmer and a construction developer. Dale also served his nation in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Dale was a board member and a deacon at the First Christian Church. He also dedicated his time to the Kiwanis Club, American Legion, Boy Scouts-Leader, SEA-OEA, VICA, Stillwater City Planning Commission, Stillwater Homebuilders Association, CREC board member, and he was a Rural Water Board founder.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Winifred; and three sisters, Wanda, Lila, and Evelyn.

He is survived by his wife, Vena; his children, Wes (Kathy), Barry (Dawn), Kevin (Mark), Brian (Terry), Ron (Laura), Lynnette; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren and their spouses.

Dale’s grandsons will be acting as pallbearers.
